Presidente Duterte’s obedience to his promise only lasted for some days and he breaks it, cursing the United States for the cancelled gun deal.
On his way to the Philippines from his Japan state visit last week, President Rodrigo Duterte vowed to God not to curse again but in less than a week, he broke his promise and went back to cussing the United States of America.
On Wednesday, November 2, Duterte was ‘back to normal’ and went back to mouthing expletives in public, following reports that the United States of America (US) planned to stop selling assault rifles to the Philippines.
During his speech in Sual, Pangasinan where he led the send-off ceremony for Vietnamese fishermen caught poaching in Philippine waters, Duterte was quoted saying, “’Yung 26,000 na baril na bibilhin natin sa kanila, ayaw nang ipagbili. ‘Tang**na mo”.
(The 26 thousand guns we were supposed to buy from them, they don’t want to sell them to us anymore. You son of a b**ch.)
“Loko-loko eh. Pati ba naman ‘yan?”, he added. (They’re crazy. Even that?)
