Subpoena Up For De Lima, Seven Others – DOJ

As peaceful as the start of another week will be, the DOJ will not make it any smoother for Senator De Lima and seven others who will face a subpoena.

Senator Leila de Lima, along with seven others, are facing a subpoena from the Department of Justice in the approaching week, because of their involvement in the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

According to an insider at the DOJ, the preliminary investigation which is being prepared by Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, will only commence once the subjects can already answer to the charges filed against them by the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) and by Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.
