The Supreme Court extended until November 8 the status quo ante order (SQAO) on the interment of the late dictator.
The Philippine Supreme Court has extended until November 8, 2016 the status quo ante order (SQAO) on the burial of the late former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
For the record, this is the second extension made by the Supreme Court on the said order.
On August 23, the High Court issued a SQAO on the hero’s burial for the late dictator until September 13, which the SC has later extended to October 18.
On the day that the order lapses, the Supreme Court, through its spokesman Atty. Theodore Te, said that the suspension for a hero’s interment for former President Marcos is up to November 8, 2016.
The Supreme Court is reportedly having a very close vote among the justices and thus, it cannot decide as to whether Marcos will be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani or not.
