TESDA Chief Atty. Guiling Mamondiong proposes a new flagship program for TESDA for the next six years.
TESDA Chief Atty. Guiling Mamondiong takes a chance on the “Barangay Kasanayan Para Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan” flagship program for his term as the head of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
The proposed program will be having specific focus. It will go down to the barangay level as reported by Phil Star Global.
Under this proposed flagship, drug dependents, returnees, family enterprise, and citizens who are self-employed will be provided with training so as to aid in honing their skills to the maximum.
Atty. Mamondion also affirmed that TESDA services will be provided to those who are in most need of it. According to Rosanna Urdaneta, the deputy director general of TESDA, Atty. Mamondiong wanted to focus on Mindanao.
The attention to the specific area will be a part of the brighter purpose for the country’s development – it is to resolve the conflict in the said region.
Before, the local government officials can take the heed in giving TESDA scholarship grants to deserving students. Under the new TESDA Chief, he wanted the barangay leaders to take action on it. They will be the one who are responsible in choosing for the assistance’s beneficiaries.
