Contestant Arrested for Carnapping During Men’s Pageant in Parañaque City
Police authorities arrested a male contestant during a men’s pageant in Parañaque City after being accused of carnapping.
A contestant fails to ramp during the pageant was arrested due to the Carnapping case of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Highway Patrol Team – Paranaque City. The culprit was identified as Marlon Labonite Billen, 34, by PLtCol Joel Mendoza, Officer-in-Charge, Regional Highway Patrol Unit-NCR.
According to the report, the suspect goes by the alias Jaypee Remillon Folluso and resides in Sitio Matahimik, Duhat, Sta. La Laguna, Cruz. Billen was taken into custody in Brgy at 12:15 am, said PLtCol Mendoza. San Dioniso Stadium is located in Paranaque City’s Himlayang Palanyag.
“Marami po siyang ginagamit na pangalan, mga alyas na para makapangloko at makapaglabas ng mga sasakyan sa mga malalaking dealer dito sa kalakhang Maynila,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Joel Mendoza, HPG-NCR chief, said.
The suspect, who also claimed to be a victim, refuted the charges. In connection with “LOI Manhunt Charlie,” he was handcuffed by EDHPT personnel operatives under the command of PMaj Edgardo A. Santiago.
PLtCol Mendoza reports that Billen was detained on two (2) warrants of arrest for two (2) counts of violating RA 10883, also known as the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016, and that a proposed bond of P300,000 was set. Police meanwhile issued a request for the purchasers of the stolen automobiles to turn them in.
