200 Houses in Baseco Compound, Manila Damaged by Tornado

200 houses in Baseco compound, Manila were damaged by a tornado Sunday afternoon (August 14, 2016). The tornado last for at least 15 minutes according to report.

It is said started from the sea and first hits block 1 Gasangan according to some residents in Baseco.

The chairman of Barangay 649 Zone 68 Mr. Chris Hispano said that I was shocked when someone shouts that there’s a tornado even I was afraid then I’d also run. Then I saw the tornado ripped off some roofs with it.

There are over 200 houses were damaged by the tornado and some houses were totally destroyed. A resident in the compound also injured during the incident as said by one of the reporter.

Also at Sampaloc district at Saturday (August 13, 2016) another tornado hits Manila before 5 p.m in the afternoon. An Air conditioning unit was ripped by the twister in convenience store during the incident.
