Palace Reacts To Kris Aquino’s Statement About President Rodrigo Duterte

Malacañang Palace reacted to the statement of Kris Aquino about President Rodrigo Duterte as she ranted about Mar Roxas’ wife Korina Sanchez.

Kris Aquino’s rant against Korina Sanchez made her spill out a statement about President Rodrigo Duterte and the Palace reacted about this just recently.

It can be recalled that Kris said that the former Davao City Mayor and now the incumbent President of the Philippines was kind to her even though she supported his rival presidential candidate former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas during the 2016 elections.

The post of the social media influencer has gathered different reaction from netizens, some are in favor while there were those who disagreed on what she said.

It was mentioned in a previous article, talent manager and comedian Ogie Diaz pointed out that Kris may have done that because she was thinking that Korina intentionally guested her ex-husband James Yap in ‘Rated K’ just to take revenge.

Based on the article recently published in MSN News, the Palace through Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reacted to Kris’ positive remarks about PRRD.

Roque reportedly said, “Welcome on board Kris Aquino”, when he was asked about what he can say on Kris’ statement.

On Kris’ Instagram post she featured a photo of her with Duterte as she stated that she now understands why he won the presidency while ranting about the veteran journalist of the Kapamilya network.

Though she apologized to the President in tagging along his name to the issue and the names of Roxas and her brother, former President Noynoy Aquino, but she is still holding on to what she said about Korina.

On Roque’s statement from Malacañang Palace, he said that he read Kris’ post about Duterte.

“Ang nabasa ko sa statement niya…walang masamang ipinakita si Presidente Duterte sa kanya at sa kanyang pamilya noong nangangampanya siya para sa kanyang kapatid sa Davao,” the Presidential Spokesperson said.

He added that Duterte even supported former President Cory Aquino, Kris’ mother, during the 1986 Revolution. Aside from that, Roque said that Duterte also supported all the campaigns of Aquino in Davao, based on the article.
