Joseph Estrada Urged His Rival Former Mayor Alfredo Lim To Retire From Government Services
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada advised his nemesis former mayor Alfredo Lim to retire and forget the politics. Estrada made a statement after Alfredo Lim’s camp stated that they would file a poll protest against to the winning incumbent.
“Mag-retire na lang siya,” Estrada simply said in an official statement released by the office of the mayor last Wednesday.
According to the report of balita.net, last Tuesday, the City Board of Canvassers proclaimed Joseph Estarda as the winning candidate in the mayoralty race in Manila after he got the 283, 149 votes unlike Lim, he got the total votes of 280, 464.
Only 2, 685 votes is the advantage of Estrada against the former mayor Alfredo Lim.
Lim works as a mayor in Manila started from 1992 to 1998; from 2007 until 2013.
The recent mayor, Joseph Estrada admitted that he was a bit surprise for his winning. He believes that people chose him to be their mayor in the next three-year-term to lead the Capital City.
“They chose me in 2013 as their Mayor. And they chose me again now to lead the Capital City for the next three years,” said Estrada
