Antonio Trillanes Ready to Teach Robin Padilla to Become Better Senator
Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV says he is ready to teach Senatorial race topnotcher, Robin Padilla, to become a better senator.
In an interview with Trillanes, he said that he is eager to share his knowledge with Senator-elect Robin Padilla, who was elected to the top slot in the 2022 election. Trillanes stated that if Padilla wishes to learn how to be a more effective legislator, he is willing to assist him.
“I will welcome that kasi nandyan na rin naman siya eh. Nahalal na rin siya. He might as well tulungan na lang siya how to be an effective legislator kung may makukuha man siyang ano sa atin,” said Trillanes.
Trillanes, on the other hand, believes that Padilla’s triumph was influenced by social media and the loss of ABS-CBN. People don’t know where the information comes from, he said, which is why the disinformation campaign spread so quickly online.
“Hindi mo na alam kung saan nangagaling ‘yung mga impormasyon, tapos eto lumaganap ‘yung misinformation campaign kaya ‘yung mga nakuha [na impormasyon] ng mga tao, hindi mo alam kung saan nangaling,” said Trillanes.
Trillanes, on the other hand, respects the electoral process, which he sees as a necessary aspect of democracy. Padilla has yet to comment to Trillanes’ statement, despite the fact that Trillanes is one of his most vocal detractors. Trillanes and Padilla have been known to send each other threatening messages on various occasions.
