LTO Cancels License of Big Bike Riders in Laguna who Show Off on SocMed
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has canceled the driver’s license of big bike riders in Laguna for showing off on social media.
Three big bike riders’ driver’s licenses were revoked by the LTO after they went popular on social media. The footage showed the three men driving recklessly and without safety equipment such as helmets.
The footage shows the three speeding and even standing on their bikes while swerving on the road near Bian, Laguna. Their motorcycles have blinkers and sirens, which are illegal on non-government and approved vehicles.
The footage went viral on social media and catches a lot of attention from the online community, especially from the local authorities of the said area. As a result, they have conducted an operation to apprehend the drivers and their motorcycles.
According to a report by GMA News, LTO Director Clarence Guinto ordered the three’s licenses to be revoked. The three motorcyclists are accused of driving recklessly, not wearing a helmet, having an invalid license plate, and having prohibited equipment on their motorcycles.
Aside from the license termination, the three were each fined P13,500. Their driver’s licenses must likewise be surrendered to the LTO office.
