Actual Video: Rescue Operation On Passengers From Distressed Motorboat In Camotes Island

Here are the actual video footages of the rescue operation for the passengers of a distressed motorboat which was sighted in the vicinity of Camotes Island

Passengers from a distressed motorboat which was travelling near Camotes Island in the Visayas Region fortunately received rescue from a shipping vessel.

Netizen ‘MV Maguzara’ was able to capture in videos the said rescue operation.

The said netizen who is working in a shipping company narrated on his post that they were underway from Ormoc bound for Ouano when a motorbanca in distress in the vicinity of Camotes Island was sighted.

On February 6, 2018, the passengers of the said distressed motorboat were sighted floating near the small vessel which already turned upside down, based on the photos posted by the netizen.

The passengers were rescued through a long rope which helped them get near the shipping vessel and then the crew helped them to board.

According to the post of netizen ‘MV Maguzara’ the rescued passengers were from MBca Habagat R and their vessel MV Lite Ferry 27 rescued them.

It was said that a total of 29 passengers from the distressed motorboat were rescued and among the rescued individuals are 20 adults including the skipper of the small vessel, 7 children and 2 infants.

Unfortunately, 1 infant and 1 adult was confirmed dead after the Philippine Coast Guards conducted their search and rescue operations.

Three persons are still missing according to the post of the netizen. In the comments , it can be read that a few hours ago, as of the writing, the Coast Guards are still conducting search and rescue operations for other victims from the distressed motorboat.
