Luis Asistio III surrendered and sworn never to take and sell illegal drugs again.
More commonly known in Caloocan City as ‘Peting”, Luis Asistio III, brother of the city’s vice mayor, Macario Asistio, surrendered to the police and admitted his intake of illegal drugs.
Peting is a big-time drug personality in Caloocan but was never been caught due to his relation to the officials of the city.
Being the son of the former Caloocan Representative Luis “Baby” Asistio and as well as former Caloocan mayor Macario “Boy” Asistio Jr. being his uncle, the police never had the chance to lay a handcuff on Peting’s hands despite rumor involvement on drugs in the city.
After witnessing the statement of President Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte to the drug syndicates telling the country violators to surrender or lose their lives, the 49-year-old man decided to stop his use and involvement in the illegal drugs in Caloocan.
Before the city’s new police chief, Senior Supt. Johnson Almazan, Peting divulged that he is involved in the exchange and circulation of illegal drugs in their city.
Peting sworn never to use drugs again or to get involved in any drug trade as he signed an affidavit of undertaking.
Based on what has been set, he would have to be placed under a rehabilitation program but he can’t get away with the matter right away. He has to divulge everything that he know about the drug trade in the city.
