Kerwin Espinosa Hires The Legal Expertise Of Atty. Raymond Fortun

Self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa hired the legal expertise of prominent lawyer in the Philippines Atty. Raymond Fortun.

Atty. Raymond Fortun is one of the prominent lawyers in the country and self-confessed drug lord Rolando ‘Kerwin’ Espinosa, Jr. hires his legal expertise.

It can be recalled that Espinosa landed in the arms of the authority after President Rodrigo Duterte gave him two options – surrender or face the shoot on sight order.

That made the alleged drug lord from Eastern Visayas to surrender to the authorities.

The previous lawyer of Espinosa was  Jonnah John Ungab, however, he was killed in an ambush which happened in Cebu City last month.

It was in an initial investigation that the incident might be related to personal matters, on the other hand, the authorities continues to conduct further investigations.

Several days ago, Espinosa appealed to the court to give him time to seek a new counsel.

Just recently, it was announced on the Facebook Page of News 5 that the self-confessed drug lord found a new lawyer and it is no other than Atty. Raymond Fortun.

It was said that the prominent lawyer had already filed formal entry of appearance in Manila RTC Branch 26 and the court has already accepted it.

Starting April 6, he will be representing Kerwin Espinosa in the court as his legal counsel, based on the post of the TV network.

In line with this news, netizens expressed different reactions regarding the announcement that Raymond Fortun’s legal expertise was hired by a drug lord.

There are those who said that it is better for Espinosa to stay in the custody of the authorities because there are “big fishes” who really want him dead.

On the other hand there are those who said that persons like Espinosa can really afford the high rate service of lawyers like Fortun.
