Belmonte Stated, VP Leni Robredo Will Be A Great Asset In Duterte Administration
House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. announced yesterday that Vice president-elect Leni Robredo will be a great ‘asset’ in Duterte administration because of her character and her extensive experience to help the oppressed, women and poor.
Nevertheless, Belmonte clarified that his statement is not for convincing or persuading President-elect Rodrigo Duterte for giving VP Robredo a cabinet post.
“Sa tingin ko ang Pangulo, sa aking isip, ay dapat makita si Vice President Robredo bilang isang asset, at makakatulong sa kanya na magtagumpay,” Belmonte said.
According to Robredo, the president has no obligation for giving her any position.
“Ganap na maunawaan ko ang mga pangyayari. Walang obligasyon para hirangin ako sa anuman puwesto sa gobyerno. Wala akong karapatan na humingi, “ Robredo said after Duterte explicitly said that he has no plans on giving Robredo a position in his Cabinet.
