Beverly Salviejo Writes Open Letter Intended To All Critics Of Mocha Uson’s UST Recognition

Beverly Salviejo expressed her thoughts against all people who are criticizing Mocha Uson for the award she received from UST

TV and stage actress Beverly Salviejo wrote an open letter intended to all the critics of Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson when the latter received an award from her alma mater University of Santo Tomas.

The said award was a recognition from the University of Santo Tomas Alumni Association (USTAA) for her work as a government official.

On the other hand, when the PCOO Asec. received the award, there are those who went against it and iterated that Uson is not worthy to be recognized by the institution.

In line with the criticisms, Salviejo expressed her thoughts about it, as a UST graduate as well, through her recent Facebook post, based on the article published in kami.com.ph.

“MY THOUGHTS ON MOCHA USON’S AWARD FROM USTAA,” she started her post with this.

The veteran actress/singer iterated that there is nothing wrong if Mocha Uson received that kind of recognition because she is in the government and she does not have any record of corruption.

She also pointed out that it was a recognition and not an award of excellence.

Salviejo also addressed those non-Thomasians who are involving themselves to the issue to refrain from magnifying it.

“Ngayon kung ikaw ay HINDI alumni ng UST, wala kang karapatan na magkomento, bumatikos, pumuna sa UST. Dahil ang recognition na ibinibigay nila ay sa alumni lang ng UST. DEFINITELY WALA KANG PAKIALAM DUN.”

Then, she addressed those who are graduates of UST who are against Uson’s award.

“Kung alumni ka naman ng UST, ano naman ang ipinag-aalburoto mo? Dahil kay Mocha ibinigay ang award at hindi sa iyo? Dahil mas may kwenta kang tao kesa kay Mocha? Dahil feeling mo mas may karapatan kang marecognize? Bakit? Nasa government service ka ba? Kung hindi, hindi ka qualified sa award, ok?”

The actress also defended the PCOO Asec against those who are saying that she is a purveyor of fake news.

Towards the end of her lengthy post, Beverly Salviejo offered an advice to Mocha Uson, the “modern Magadalene” for her, to never give up and to continue serving the country in every way she can, based on the article.
