Here’s a portion of the statement of Cesar Apolinario Jr. on FB:
“Mayaman, mahirap..
FOR THE BETTER PHILIPPINES, CHANGE MUST START IN OUR WORKPLACE, IN OUR COMMUNITY, MOST IMPORTANTLY… IN THE COMFORT OF OUR HOME.”
In the first and last part of his statement, he described and cited an example of catcalling.
I totally agree with you, Mr. Cesar Apolinario Jr. I am a mother of 7 precious children and a widow. All my children voted for Mr. Duterte, we had serious discussions before the election, I respected their decisions. Being a mother, I taught my children how to respect people even when they are not in agreement, always talk with decency, respect and diplomacy as much as possible but never compromise against good principles and one’s integrity. I watched the press conference last night of Mr. Duterte, the President elect but I was disappointed with his rudeness over certain issues and concerns and how he treated some persons who were just doing their jobs. Hindi ako sanay makarinig sa isang leader to be that cruel and rude in front of the camera, naniniwala ako, we, parents, adults, all of you leaders of this country, we must show good examples in front of people specially in front of our children and young people. Be decent enough to think there are thousands and millions watching and among them are young people kasama na mga anak ko and their friends who believe in You, Mr. Duterte, President elect. Indeed, we need a leader with an iron heart, strong, courageous and a man of discipline but not a shrewd and rude person, sabi niya, he will use diplomacy. Yes, we need CHANGE in this country because of severe graft n corruptions, crimes like drug addictions, prostitutions, the oldest professions, etc. Please Mr. Duterte, you are the President elect, be a true man of the people with a heart to show good examples for the young people including my own children who voted for you. I taught my children wag magmura lalo na yon mura na may ina, I taught them Respect for their parents and for others, to show care for people and be concern for our beloved country. They voted for you because they believe in You that you are the right leader for this country but Please wag ka na magmura, Stop being RUDE to people, correct the wrong but not to the point of lambasting good people who are doing their jobs right, at lalo na ang maging bastos sa harap ng mga tao, for me as a mother watching the leader my children voted for, I feel sad, truly and honestly, it is not good specially for our young people watching You, Mr. Duterte, President elect. The Hope of Tomorrow is our young children so let us do what is right and good in front of them. Our country is beautiful and filipinos are known for being God fearing, hospitable, loving, caring and respectful here and abroad. I am proud to be a Filipino and a mother of 7 precious children. God bless the Philippines and God be with you all, the incoming new leaders of the Land.
