Daily Public Weather Bulletin: November 24, 2023

At the immediate hour of 4:00 AM, on the 24th of November 2023, the National Public Weather Service released the current weather conditions across the archipelago. According to the report, a Shear Line is significantly affecting the eastern part of Southern Luzon, while the Easterlies are affecting Visayas and Mindanao.

Weather Update

In areas such as Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Bicol Region, Aklan, Capiz, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental, expect overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. This occurrence is brought about by the Shear Line and Easterlies, potentially causing rainfall ranging from moderate to heavy, leading to possible flash floods or landslides.

In the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Isabela, and Quirino, anticipate cloudy skies with light rains. This is due to the Northeast Monsoon, but it is not expected to have a significant impact.

Weather Update

In the Ilocos Region and other parts of Cagayan Valley, expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. Similar to the Cordillera Administrative Region, this is attributed to the Northeast Monsoon, with no significant impact anticipated.

For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. This weather condition is caused by Easterlies and Localized Thunderstorms, which may result in flash floods or landslides, especially during severe thunderstorms.

In terms of wind and coastal conditions, expect moderate to rough winds in Luzon, coming from the northeast, accompanied by moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 4.5 meters). Meanwhile, in Visayas and Mindanao, anticipate light to moderate winds from the east to northeast, along with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.1 meters).

Weather Update

Under these conditions, it is crucial to exercise caution and preparedness. The lives and safety of every citizen rely on being vigilant and accountable for any changes in climate and weather.
