DepEd Secretary – The Department of Education Secretary Leonor Briones aired out the strong stand of her department against corporal punishment in teaching.

Teaching is indeed no easy job. A classroom is a venue wherein a single teacher gets to meet a big groups of students – ranging from 15-25 in private schools or 35-45 in some public schools.

The big group that a single teacher has to face is indeed a challenge. Not all students are attentive enough, not everyone has long attention span, and not all are performers and active listeners.
