Netizens got ire over a Facebook post that recently went viral on the social networking site which shows a Labrador roped on the back of pick up truck, under scorching heat of the sun as the vehicle travels along EDSA-Ortigas.
“YOU DO NOT DO THIS TO A DOG!! It’s scorching hot outside and s/he is clearly struggling to find shade. The passenger and backseats are empty, why can’t you let your dog sit with you in your vehicle instead?!” the caption accompanying the post stated.

The FB post prompted some netizens to call for organizations like CARA and PAWS to take immediate action with regards to the alleged animal cruelty.
According to Coconuts Manila, the driver of the Ford pickup truck has yet to be identified. The article published by the website also noted that Nikki Torres, the Facebook handler who shared the photo has tapped animal rescue groups to track the driver.
“As it is, the photo has captured way too much attention without any action,” she said in a sideline interview with the site.
“It has roused pointless arguments in social media and I no longer want to get involved in those. I am, instead, working with an animal rescue group to find the owner instead. I prefer not to have this up on any other website anymore. I hope you understand,” Nikki Torres further added.
The photo has already gained massive reactions from the netizens with thousands of likes as of posting.
