DOLE Identifies Business Establishments That Still Using “Endo” System
DOLE identifies business establishments that still using “endo” system including hotels, restaurants, and malls.
“Endo” stand for (End of Contract) is an act of terminating an employee before reaching his/her six month in the job. This is the system used by most business establishments to avoid regularization of employees together with its benefits.
Julius Cainglet, vice president of Federation of Free Workers said that under Article 281 of the labor code, “an employee who is allowed to work after a probationary period shall be considered a regular employee.”
Labor Undersecretary Ma. Joji Aragon said on Wednesday (August 17, 2016) said that DOLE have identified corporate farms, agricultural plantation, malls, foods, hotels, and manufacturing companies are prioritized to be assessed.
