The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has unveiled a generous holiday treat, announcing free rides on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Lines 1 and 2 for various sectors over twelve days, starting on December 14 and culminating on Christmas Day, December 25.

Acting DOTr Secretary announced the initiative on Wednesday, December 10, during the launch of the festive exterior lighting at the MRT-3’s GMA-Kamuning station. This announcement marks a significant gesture of gratitude and holiday cheer aimed at easing the financial burden of daily commutes for millions of Filipinos during the festive season.
The free rides will be effective throughout the entire operating hours of the MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2, each corresponding day.
