The former and current Presidents talked about climate change and peace process issues during their meeting at the Malacañan Palace on Monday.
President Rodrigo Duterte and former President Fidel V. Ramos held a meeting in Malacañan Palace on Monday, November 14.
This is the first meeting of the two influential leaders of the Philippines after FVR’s criticisms to Duterte over his administrations’ bloody war against illegal drugs, foreign policy and cussing against the United States of America (USA).
According to Presidential Peace Adviser Jesus Dureza, who was also present at the meeting,the former and current Presidents reportedly talked about climate change, peace process issues and foreign engagements during their meeting at the Palace.
“Climate change, peace process, foreign diplomatic engagements, etcetera”, said Dureza when asked what was discussed during the Duterte-Ramos meeting.
Dureza also described the meeting as a “very warm” discussion.
