During the said press conference, Allan Nawal , a Davao-based reporter from Inquirer premised his question with “when you came into power, you said that you will choose only the brightest and the best for your cabinet”, but before he could finish his question, Duterte corrected his statement.

The President said that he “did not come to power” and that he just “assumed the employment as a worker of government”.

After that, the Inquirer reporter stressed out that there have been quite a number of his cabinet members who are already taken out of their duty.

Duterte answered this by saying that those who fall short of the standard must not continue their position in the government.

“You are maybe supporter of mine but there are rules to be followed and boundaries to honor…and I do not allow corruption to creep in, at least during my term,” the President stated.

With his follow up question, Nawal said that since the President initially stated that there are going to be more names to be taken out of his list of cabinet members , the Inquirer reporter asked if who are they and under what agencies.

At first, Duterte jokingly answered with, “bibigyan na lang kita ng listahan at ikaw na mamili ng patatalsikin mo”, which made other members of the media laugh.

“Masyado kang apurado!” the President said to the Inquirer reporter.

The said video which was posted on the Facebook Page of ‘Duterte Kami’ has already gone viral.

As of the writing, it has already reached more than 71 thousand views and received more than 3 thousand reactions.
