Eddie Garcia Remains in Critical Condition, Receives Gawad Urian Award
EDDIE GARCIA – Veteran actor Eddie Garcia received a Gawad Urian award amid his being on a critical condition at the hospital now.
Currently, veteran actor Eddie Garcia is still at the hospital. He is fighting for his life following an accident that took place on the set of Rosang Agimat on June 8 (Saturday).
Tito Eddie seemingly tripped on a cable wire during the taping of one of the scenes in his comeback project with the GMA-7. He fell into the ground and was rushed into a hospital in Tondo.
Later that day, Eddie was transferred to a bigger hospital. He is now confined at Makati Medical Center – he is in critical condition and is a state of comatose.
Tito Eddie’s family has agreed to put him on a do-not-resuscitate status or DNR status. His family, friends, and supporters are greatly heartbroken by what happened to him.
Amid his being on a critical condition, Eddie Garcia recently received a Gawad Urian award.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Eddie Garcia received a Gawad Urian Best Actor award for his portrayal of a role of an elderly retired military officer in ML. The said movie is one of the entries in the Cinemalaya 2018.
Benedict Mique, the director of ML, was the one who received the award in behalf of the actor who is still in a comatose state at Makati Medical Center.
The family of the veteran actor has sent a message that was read during the awarding based on the report.
“While he has remained in a comatose state, isipin niyo siya iyong nakatayo dito at nakatanaw sa inyong lahat,” the letter reportedly read.
