Employment Rate Rises Unemployment Rate Decrease According To PSA

Employment rate rises while the unemployment rate decreases according to PSA upon citing the preliminary data on Friday (September 09, 2016).

The total labor force in the country for 15 years old and above had already reached 68.436 million according to Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

According to PSA the employment rate increased by 1.1 percent from 93.5 percent earlier this year it have already reached 94. 6 percent in July 2016.

In a separate statement National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) stated that the employment rate is equivalent to 41 million employed persons. In July the unemployment rate declined from 6.5 percent down to 5.4 percent.
