EO on the Freedom of Information (FOI) has been signed by the president.
EO or the executive order on the Freedom of information (FOI) has been signed by President Rodrigo Duterte. The lawmakers praise the president and added that it is a good step for transparency.
According to report, Grace Poe thanked President Duterte for signing of an executive order on the freedom of information. Poe called Duterte’s EO a milestone for the executive branch.
Senator Grace Poe said to an interview that there are a lot of things that need to consider for the executive order including the declarations of the exceptions, the right to privacy which are cited in the constitution.
According to a report, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, hopes that the clamor of the Freedom of the Information will be diminished. Trillanes praise the president for signing the executive order.
In a report, Trillanes was one of the principal supporter of the FOI bill. He declared that the signing of the Executive order will serves as a political masterstroke for the new administration.
