Suspect On Hold For Ransom Wearing The Wrong Dress Code?

Hold For Ransom – A case was recently given a decision by the Pasay City court last Friday for hold-for-ransom and ending the life of a retired pilot and his driver in Cavite.

There five suspects who were convicted namely former Dasmariñas, Cavite Vice Mayor Victor Carungcong, spouses Chief Insp. Exequiel Cautiver and Chief Insp. Penelope Cautiver from the PNP Special Action Force, Mariano “Spider” de Leon and Alejandrito Entrolizo.

The suspects were sentenced to reclusion perpetua or at least 20 years in jail.

According to the report by Inquirer, the victims were named retired pilot and businessman Demosthenes Cañete together with his driver Allan Garay.

The report added that Carungcong was the brother-in-law of Cañete. While Exequiel Cautiver was training as a director of the PNP-SAF. Entolizo, Cautiver’s cousin, was a barangay ‘tanod’ (watchman). De Leon was hired to end the life of the victims.

According to a report on ABS-CBN, the suspects asked a ransom money of P20 million for the release of Cañete and Garay last June 2008. Then, the ransom money was lowered to P973,000 but, a devastating thing was discovered by PNP. The victims have been ‘gone’ even before the settlement.

“My family is very relieved because the masterminds were all convicted,” said Atty. Joan Cañete, daughter of the pilot victim.

“But we are still saddened by the pace that this case went because it took us eight years to have justice,” she added.

According to Cañete’s family, they will still look on to this case up in the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, in this picture below of the suspects, it can be recognized something different in the picture.

Can you ‘guess’ it? While all the convicted suspects where in proper dress codes, one man, De Leon was seen wearing just a normal shirt with a print of a famous clothing line.

Do you think this is just allowable or it broke protocols?
