P600 million worth of fake beauty products was confiscated by the Bureau of Customs at a warehouse located in Tondo, Manila.
Fake beauty products were confiscated at a warehouse located in Tondo Manila just recently.
The said inauthentic products has a value of P600 million.
Bureau of Customs Commissioner Isidro Lapeña arrived in the said warehouse where beauty products without the approval of the authorities were stored.
ANC shared on its official Twitter account the said incident.
The warehouse in Tondo is owned by Kevin Lee.
According to Lapeña, the warehouse in Tondo is not the only place they have searched. He said that a warehouse in Binondo was also found storing fake products.
The Binondo warehouse is being owned by Brian and Anthony Lee.
The three mentioned owners of the warehouses are business partners according to the BOC.
In line with this confiscation of unauthorized products, Commissioner Lapeña warns the public regarding fake beauty products.
He warns buyers of cheap beauty products to be careful because harmful chemicals might bring danger to their health.
In addition, he also advised the public to meticulously check the label of a product before buying it.
It should have the seal of approval from Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and serial number.
If a product has poor grammar and weird signages, don’t buy it.

Lapeña says that aside from the warehouse in Tondo, they also searched another warehouse in Binondo with fake products. The Tondo warehouse is owned by Kevin Lee while the Binondo warehouse is owned by Anthony and Brian Lee. BOC says the three are business partners.
