The sad news was revealed to the public by her niece, Ferdinand’s daughter and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos on her official Facebook account, based on the article recently published in the site of ABS CBN News.

On the post of the Governor, she asked prayers intended for her Auntie Baby and netizens expressed their condolences for the Marcos family.

Thousands of netizens sympathized to the grief of the known political family in the country because of the passing away of their loved one.

It was mentioned in the article that the Marcos has not released any official statement yet regarding the death of Fortuna.

Her death may not be as controversial as the death of Ferdinand Marcos but the pain of the family members who are left in this world is still the same.

It can be recalled that several decades after the death of the dictator President, he is still in controversy along with the members of his family.

The prolonged issue regarding Ferdinand’s right to be buried in the ‘Libingan ng mga Bayani’ was one of the most opposed topics by the human rights advocates.

On the other hand, when the current administration of President Rodrigo Duterte allowed that the former President will be buried in the exclusive cemetery, though it heated up the arguments but still no one had the ability to hinder that.

Now, the remains of the 10th President of the Philippines lay within the grounds of ‘Libingan ng mga Bayani’.
