Finance Secretary Orders to Avoid Expensive Meeting Venues

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III ordered to avoid expensive meeting venues this order is in line with the program of the president to avoid expensive costs for the meeting venue.

The employees of Department of Finance (DOF) and the agencies attached to it were ordered by Dominguez to avoid costly venues on their meetings or any work related events related to the austerity program of President Duterte administration.

The Cabinet officials said that at the Ayuntamiento de Manila-the office of the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) in Intramuros was the venue where their meeting held. Justification of the meeting venue in the office of the Finance Secretary is required for any work related events of the DOF and the agencies attached to it.

The Finance chief the top priority when it comes to the moderation of funds Ayuntamiento de Manila is the top priority. He also said that choosing venues should be considered because the money of the government is the money used to pay the rent for the venue.
