Nuclear Power Ambition of China Is Now sailing into Troubled Waters

A floating nuclear reactor was planning to develop by two state-owned companies. Using oil rigs or island communities are considered by a technology engineer since 1970. To get a unit or chemical operation Beijing, China starts to develop its own company in 2007 with their rival Russia.

Oil exploration of South China Sea is concerning that it may harm the area where it faces Vietnam and Philippines in conflict with its territorial claims. A report in the news in China says it plan for deploying 20 nuclear reactors in the area.

UN arbitration panel ruled July 12 declared that China has no authority for their claim in the area that it rises up the tensions between the said nations. But still, China continued to build the artificial island and still holding the area by its military.

Creating profitable technologies is the main goal of Beijing for its reactor plans which is considered as a security risk by the communist leaders. There are already 32 reactors in operation and 22 is under construction by China for its nuclear power plants.
