A well-known bakeshop, Goldilocks, has stated being criticized by a customer, reportedly a supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte. The complaint went viral on social media after the customer claimed that the staff failed to include the requested dedication on a cake meant to celebrate Duterte’s 80th birthday on Friday, March 28.
The viral post showed the customer expressing frustration that the dedication, which was supposed to read “Happy 80th Birthday TATAY DIGONG,” was not added by the bakeshop staff.
“I usually buy cake on yours and nothing is wrong, you always put the dedication. This is what happen today! WHY?” the customer wrote in their post.
Following the backlash from Duterte’s supporters, the management of Goldilocks took notice of the incident and released an official statement on their Facebook page on Sunday, March 30.
