Heart on husband’s way of speaking at the debate.
Following the heated face off at the #PiliPinas2016 Vice Presidential Debates, Sen. Chiz Escudero was criticized because of his way of speaking at the debate now being defended by wife Heart Evangelista.
Sen. Escudero, who is among the Vice President aspirants, did not escape from the criticisms because of her tone and way of speaking in the earlier debate that was described as “patula na pagsasalita na parang isang makata.”
Columnist Teddy Boy Locsin Jr. considered “mass suicide” if ever the senator will be elected because of his delivery of the Tagalog language.
On Sunday, Escudero showed his proficiency in speaking the Tagalog language while answering queries and presenting his ideas however, some did not find it tasteful especially with his tone.
Locsin earlier tweeted: “Imagine Chiz your president speaking like that day in and day out for 6 years. Mass suicide.”
Escudero’s wife Heart Evangelista then defended husband for his way of speaking taking to Instagram.
She posted a message from a supporter saying, “Tulad ng waze gusto mo man o ayaw ang boses na nagsasalita sa app, dadalhin ka naman niya sa destinasyon na hangad mong puntahan.”
The post was captioned, “#SayChiz be like a flowing water. Only through its softness that it breaks the rock, and finds itself in the immensity of the sea.”
Escudero and Evangelista married last February 15 at the Balesin Island Club followed by an extravagant wedding reception at the Toscana Garden in the same island. Escudero has been a member of the senate since 2007 coming from a political family. He was first married to Christine Elizabeth Flores before marrying Evangelista.
