350, 000 Civics Faulty Parking Brake Issues Recalls By Honda

Honda Motor Co. recalls it’s 350, 000 civics faulty parking brake issues in the United States for the 2016 models were affected by the issue.

In Detroit US, Honda recalls it 2016 because some of their unit’s parking brake may not function properly. The recall has only impacts to the Civics sold in the US because 2016 models such as Civic coupes and sedans are affected by the recall.

According to Honda Motors, “the electric parking brake may not work if it’s applied immediately after turning the ignition off. If it can’t be applied, the “brake” warning light will blink in the instrument panel”. The update software of 2016 models is affecting the electric parking brake functionality.

Faulty Parking Brake

Some complainant says that the parking brake light on the dashboard is staying even after releasing the hand brake. They also said that the light comes back after releasing the brake.
