Ronnie Dayan To Be Released by Justice Committee After House Testimony

The House justice committee agreed to release Ronnie Dayan after his testimony over his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

On Thursday (November 24, 2016), Ronnie Dayan finished his testimony on the alleged involvement his former employer Senator Leila De Lima on the illegal drug trade happened at the national penitentiary few years ago.

Dayan denied the allegations of his involvement in the illegal drug proliferation at the NBP. He also denied knowing inmates and other personalities involving him in the illegal activities at the national penitentiary.

Holding Dayan inside the Batasang Pambansa ground in Quezon City was quite risky, according to Committee chair and Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali. He also said that the House spent a large amount in holding Dayan.
