Immigration Inspection Now Covers Foreign Pilots And Crews
Immigration inspection now covers foreign pilots and crews as the Philippine government strengthened their security operation in the country.
On Wednesday, Commissioner Jaime Morente from Bureau of Immigrations (BI) said that since August 2016 the conduct of immigration arrival and departure formalities in the international airports nationwide for airline crew members has been going on.
“We have to ensure that these alien crewmen are indeed bona fide employees of the airlines they represent and that they are not included in our blacklist of undesirable or wanted aliens,” said by Morente quoted by GMA.
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recommended practices and international standards existing is also consistent with the new policy according to Jaime.
