Japan Self-Defense Force Arrived in The Philippines for Goodwill Visit
Japan Self-defense force arrived in the Philippines with two naval ships for a goodwill visit on Tuesday (August 30, 2016).
JS Yuugiri, JS Yuudachi, Murasame-class destroyer and the Asagiri-class destroyer arrived in the country around 8 am in the morning according to the statement of Philippine Navy. In our country, the two Japanese destroyers will stay until Thursday.
At the vicinity of Corregidor Island, the Navy’s Gregorio del Pilar-class frigate BRP Ramon Alcaraz escorted the Japanese vessels to their anchorage. The Division Commander Capt. Takashi Inoue led the navy from Japan and welcomed by the navy delegation Captain Primitivo Decio.
One of the destroyers conducts a port briefing on health and security on board led by Decio and Inoue. Vice Admiral Caesar Taccad announced a courtesy call for Inoue with Navy Flag Officer in Command.
