Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed his sympathy to the to the victims of the Davao City incident that happened on Friday, September 2, 2016.

According to the released statement of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines through the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC), the Prime Minister said that he is angered upon knowing about the incident that happened in Davao City.

“I cannot help feeling indignation to learn that a bombing incident by terrorism caused numerous casualties in Davao City where Your Excellency served as the mayor for many years,” he said.

He also condemned such actions done by certain groups.

“Such terrorist attacks will never be allowed whatever the reason is. I firmly condemn it.”

Also, he expressed his sympathy towards the affected ones and their families. The Prime Minister of Japan also said that he will be praying for the lost lives.

Lastly, he stated that Japan is standing with the Philippines together with President Rodrigo Duterte and the Filipinos in facing such difficulty.

The incident that happened on Friday caused the lives of 15 people including 71 injured.

Chinese President Xi Jinping already sent his sympathies over the incident in Davao City.
