Leila de Lima Slams Harry Roque Over Statement Against Fake News
Former Senator Leila de Lima slams former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque over his tirade against “Pinklawans” allegedly spreading fake news.
De Lima made reference to Roque’s claim that the CPP-NPA, the yellow, and the pink were circulating false information. She believes that the Leni Robredo camp, the former vice president, is the most optimistic.
“VP @lenirobredo’s campaign & the resulting Angat Buhay NGO is the most positive, uplifting movement coming off of the elections,” de Lima said in his tweet.
She went on to say that Roque, who seeks to demonize Filipinos who stand up for human rights and decent governance, is the true problem.
“Ang tunay na negatibo ay si Harry Roque na pilit binabansagan at sinisiraan ang mga Pilipinong lumalaban para sa karapatang pantao at mabuting gobyerno,” she added.
You may recall that Roque accused the Dilawan, Pinklawan, and CPP-NPA of allegedly disseminating false information concerning President Bongbong Marcos’s inaugural memento. Due to the ill-gotten wealth of the Marcos family, the claims that the keepsake was fashioned of tallano gold are contentious.
“To Dilawan, Pinklawan and CPP-NPA: stop the disinformation and fake news! The tokens given during the inaugural dinner were made of ceramic painted in gold. Please stop the negativity, hatred and do move on!” Roque said.
