Leni Robredo Gave Thanks To Alan Cayetano For Conceding
Vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo gave thanks to one of her rivals, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano after accepting his defeat in the election.
“I thank Senator Alan Peter Cayetano for the statement regarding the elections. I am open to cooperating with him for the welfare of our countrymen,” Robredo said.
“We are hoping that this would end as soon as possible in order to start the healing of the country,” she added.
Regarding to her statement, Leni Robredo specified the conflict she had with Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos due to the alleged shaved votes.
According to the report of balita.net that Leni Robredo is ahead of Marcos with a 200,000 votes.
The supporters of the two vice presidential bet are as well arguing in social media due to the exchange of allegations of fraud during the election on Monday.
Even the child of Tacloban City Mayor-elect, Cristina Gonzales-Romualdez was poured with criticisms from netizens because of her alleged “below-the-belt-attack” to Robredo in her twitter account.
Marcos asked the Commission on Elections first to stop the the quick count due to alleged discrepancies in the results of vote tallying.
