Manny Piñol Called the Decision of Marcos Jr to Head Agriculture a Brilliant Move
Former Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Manny Piñol lauds the decision of the incoming president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr to head the department.
Piñol said on Facebook that he thinks the president-elect selected the right choice in running the Department of Agriculture. Piñol, who chaired the DA during the Duterte government, explained why Marcos’ scheme was a “great move” in his piece.
He believes Marcos’ leadership will assist the DA in passing its budget. Nothing, he said, can hinder the expansion of agriculture with Marcos as Secretary. He further stated that members of the Cartel and smugglers are concerned about his choice.
“With PFMJr. as DA chief, wala nang makakaharang pa sa pag-unlad ng agriculture. Best, brilliant move,” said Piñol.
“Now, I can see cartel members, smugglers shaking in their boots. Walang tigasin na haharang sa DA budget,” he added.
On June 20, Marcos revealed his intention to lead the DA. According to him, agriculture is currently experiencing a major difficulty, and he believes it is vital for him to take the reins and focus more on the department. Marcos intends to concentrate on food production, particularly because certain nations are increasingly attempting to safeguard their food supplies.
In order to handle an impending food crisis, President-elect Bongbong Marcos is taking over as Agriculture Secretary. In order to simplify the agency, the new president aims to eliminate unnecessary connected agencies.
