Mar Roxas’ alleged vote buying exposed in Bacolod City.

A netizen and Facebook user named Angie Oralde Delubio Montealegre has exposed the alleged vote buying of Liberal Party bet Mar Roxas in Bacolod City. The candidate came to the city with vice presidential bet Leni Robredo on Tuesday for the party’s grand rally.

According to Angie Montealegre, her close friend sent her some photos during the rally which was held at the Bacolod City Capitol Lagoon. She said that the people gathering in groups are waiting for the money that will be given by their respective leaders.

“A close friend of mine sent me this picture, she’s currently in Bacolod Capitol Lagoon for Mar Roxas’ rally. These people clamped into small groups are waiting for the money to be given by their Leaders,” she wrote.

In the screen shot photo of their conversation, her friend named Daisy Mae said that the attendees should register their names on their respective places and the money should be claimed personally. The said money is amounting to 500 pesos.

The post has received a lot of negative reactions from the netizens. Some, who claimed to have attended the rally, said that it was not true. Others also slammed the former DILG secretary for the alleged vote buying issue.

Meanwhile, Mar Roxas was recently criticized for a viral video that shows an emcee at an LP campaign saying that those who did not cheer louder for Mar Roxas will not be given “envelopes.” This has led to speculations that envelopes might include money.
