Actor and chef Marvin Agustin once again graced the morning talk show “Magandang Buhay” on ABS-CBN last Tuesday, July 18. It seemed that the spark and ‘kilig’ factor between him and Jolina Magdangal were still very much present as they playfully bantered with each other.
Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin celebrated the 25th anniversary of their movie “Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang?.” Their undeniable chemistry as a tandem was evident throughout the show. The audience couldn’t help but reminisce about the memorable moments they shared on-screen.
During the interview, Jolina couldn’t resist asking Marvin why he didn’t attend her wedding, despite being personally invited.
“Parang pakiramdam ko nun… alam ko magiging masaya ako kasi magiging parte ako ng masayang okasyon na ‘yon for you and for Mark. Pero parang gusto kung… alam mo naman, showbiz, marami silang perception na masaya tayo, kilig tayo. Ayokong i-diminish ‘yung kilig at ‘yung atensiyon sa inyong dalawa ni Mark kasi kahit paano, mapapatingin sila sa akin, eh wala naman akong kinalaman doon sa kaligayahan na sini-celebrate that moment. So it was a decision from my end na ibigay talaga yung moment at highlight, assuming ako eh.”, Marvin Agustin replied.
“Assuming ako na titingnan ako ng mga tao habang ikinakasal sila. Pero hindi… alam mo yon, the attention is for the married couple. Ayokong parang baka ma-teary eyed ako”, he added.
Both of them began their acting careers at ABS-CBN, starting with their roles in the teen TV series “Gimik” in 1996. This was followed by the success of “Labs Ko Si Babe” in 1999, which propelled their popularity and further introduced their love team to the public. Their collaboration in these shows marked the beginning of their journey in the entertainment industry, showcasing their talent and undeniable chemistry that endeared them to fans. The impact of “Gimik” and “Labs Ko Si Babe” not only solidified their place in the industry but also established them as a beloved love team.
