Metro Manila LGUs Announce Cemetery Schedules for Undas 2024

As All Saints’ Day (November 1) and All Souls’ Day (November 2) approach, local government units (LGUs) across Metro Manila have announced cemetery schedules and guidelines to ensure a peaceful observance. The public is encouraged to plan visits accordingly, with each city enforcing unique operating hours and safety protocols. Here is a breakdown of cemetery schedules and reminders for various cities in the metro area.

Undas 2024

Manila

For those visiting the Manila North Cemetery and Manila South Cemetery, both locations will be open from October 30 to November 3, between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. Manila Memorial Park will operate from October 29 to 30 (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.), extend to a 24-hour schedule from October 31 to November 2, and return to limited hours (12 a.m. to 6 p.m.) on November 3. Loyola Memorial Park in Manila will follow similar hours, open 24 hours on October 31 and November 1, with varying hours on surrounding dates. Visitors to Himlayang Palanyag and Parañaque Catholic Cemetery in Parañaque will also have extended access from October 29 through November 3.

The Parañaque City LGU has made emergency assistance available through the number 8820-PQUE (7783), reminding visitors to maintain safety while on the premises.

San Juan City

San Juan will open all cemeteries from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily during the observance period.

Pasay City

In Pasay, the Pasay City Cemetery will operate from October 29 through November 2, with extended hours from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. The cemetery office will also assist on November 1 and 2 for visitors who require information or emergency support.

Pasig City

Pasig City’s cemeteries, including Evergreen Memorial Garden, Pasig Catholic Cemetery, and Santolan Catholic Cemetery, will follow different operating schedules to accommodate visitors, particularly on October 31, November 1, and November 2. These cemeteries will have extended hours, with some open 24 hours on November 1, while other dates observe a mix of morning-to-evening schedules.

Pasig LGU encourages visitors to bring essentials such as umbrellas and bottled water to stay prepared for any weather changes during their visits.

Muntinlupa City

In Muntinlupa, the Libingang Panglungsod ng Muntinlupa will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on October 31 and November 1. For emergencies, Muntinlupa LGU has provided hotlines: 137-175, 8373-5165, 0921-542-7123, and 0927-257-9322.

Caloocan City

Caloocan public cemeteries will open daily from October 30 to November 2, between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. The city encourages visitors to report emergencies through the hotline 888-ALONG (25664).

Malabon City

In Malabon, cemeteries including Everlasting Peace Cemetery, San Bartolome Parish Cemetery, and several parish ossuaries and columbaria have specific schedules from October 30 through November 2, with hours varying by day. The public is advised to check the exact times to plan their visits.

Prohibited Items and Activities

To ensure safety and order, all LGUs have issued a list of prohibited items and activities within cemeteries. Bringing firearms, sharp objects, alcohol, pets, loud sound systems, firecrackers, fireworks, and flammable materials is strictly prohibited. Smoking, gambling, unauthorized vending, and entry of intoxicated individuals are also restricted.
