NAPOLCOM confirmed on August 10, 2016, Wednesday, revoke Cebu City Mayor Osmeña’s power over the Philippine National Police.
Cebu City Mayor Tomas “Tommy” Osmeña was known for being the first mayor of the Philippines to offer his service to support the president campaign to crackdown the illegal drug activities in the Philippines.
Osmeña was the first mayor to offer reward money to policemen who had killed alleged drug pushers during the operations to crackdown on the illegal drug trade in Cebu — but now, he has no longer has power over the police.
