OPPO didn’t use the Reno branding on its latest smartphone. Here’s why!
OPPO previously launched OPPO Reno Ace in China last October 2019 and recently launched OPPO Ace 2 in China earlier today. But why OPPO didn’t use the Reno branding?
After the successful release of the OPPO Ace 2 in China, OPPO Ace 2 Product Manager Wu Di and OPPO Senior Hardware Engineer Wang Shiming said in a press conference that Ace was an independent product line, adding that OPPO wanted to settle for the mid-to-high-end products while catering the needs of its customers.
Wang Shiming also said that an independent product line would allow the company to have a better target on the trending demands of the market. On the other hand, Wu Di also said that OPPO opted for a 90Hz refresh rate on its display instead of 120Hz as it was “not perfect” and has low compatibility and its implementation.
