PCOO denied involvement in a post shared on its official Facebook page, saying that it was “done without the usual vetting process” of its office.
The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) denied involvement in a certain post shared on its official Facebook page wherein the said post was filled with false information about the ABS-CBN franchise.
This, as PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar published a statement on the official PCOO Facebook page, saying that the resharing of a posted content regarding the legal situation of ABS-CBN Corporation’s broadcast license was “done without the usual vetting process” of its office.
Also, Andanar said that the said post was not the official statement or opinion of the office, adding that the issue on the network franchise of ABS-CBN Corporation would remain within the purview of the Congress.
On the other hand, the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson (OPS) clarified that the said posts weren’t the official statement on the said matter, saying that the said posts didn’t come from the OPS and the NTF Stratcomms.
The clarification came after Radio Television Malacanang (RTVM) and the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) shared a post from the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
[UPDATE] The said post from the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, which filled with false information about the network franchise of ABS-CBN Corporation, was taken down after PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar posted a statement.
