Philippines Enters Top 20 List Of Countries With Most Number Of COVID-19 Cases
CORONAVIRUS IN THE PHILIPPINES – As the country breached 300,000 cases, the Philippines entered the top 20 list of nations with the most number of COVID-19 cases.
The list was made by Johns Hopkins University, the leading medical institution in the U.S.A. Even with the longest lockdown in the entire world, running for more than 7 months, the Philippines surpassed Pakistan that saw 312,806 cases.
Currently, the Philippines has over 314,079 cases of COVID-19 spread across its archipelago. Along with this, more than 5,000 infected patients have succumbed to the deadly respiratory disease.

Meanwhile, the United States still has the most number of cases in the world with over 7 million cases. Following the US was India which has recorded more than 6,312,584 coronavirus cases. Third is Brazil which saw a massive 4,810,935 cases of the disease.

Yesterday, the Department of Health recorded 2,415 fresh coronavirus infections. Along with this, the health department said 83% of the new cases occurred within a 2 week period. Still, even with over 300,000 cases, data from DOH revealed that there are 54,294 active COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.
