Escudero Says, Cayetano Acts Like Rabid Dog
Senator Francis Escudero recently gave a statement against his rival in the vice-presidential slate, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano saying the Duterte’s tandem was acting like a rabid dog.
In a report by ABS-CBN, Escudero lashed out at Cayetano for claiming that the Poe-Escudero tandem was responsible for the attacks against Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
“Sen. Alan, after being silent for quite some time, is once again acting and talking like a wild and rabid dog,” Escudero said as quoted in the report.
“He is throwing wild accusations simply because he himself cannot answer the issues being thrown at his running mate because it will contradict everything that he is and has stood for in the past,” he added.
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano previously claimed that a controversial television ad against Rody Duterte was made, according to a conspiracy, by the Administration, Mar Roxas and Grace Poe.
Chiz Escudero said that Cayetano “should look at himself in the mirror first” before accusing against Poe.
“It is a fact that more big businessmen are behind him and his campaign, for how else can he afford to spend nearly half a billion pesos on pre-campaign ads alone, not to mention other campaign expenses?”
Escudero insisted that he and presidential candidate Grace Poe is running a clean campaign ad have avoided hitting their rivals with the negative type of campaigning.
He added that Cayetano’ accusations are not their style because it is “out of character” for them to do.
The senator finally addressed that such thing can just be done by the administration and the Liberal Party and not them.
