In a forum participated by civil registrars in Davao City, Mayor Duterte lambasted Mendoza who previously said in an interview that she was insulted with politicians, including Duterte, and private individuals who donated sacks of rice to the drought-stricken farmers.

The governor said that she will block the donations because it will be an insult to her governance, adding that she does not want politicians to use the relief as “publicity stunt.”

“May gusto akong sabihin kay Lala (Mendoza). T***** mo, wala akong pakialam diyan, l*** ka,” he said.

On Friday April 1, thousands of farmers protested at the national highway of Kidapawan City. They were asking the provincial government for food subsidies amid the ongoing drought that has affected their lands since late November last year.

Duterte also added that there is nothing wrong if the Davao City will give food aid to the farmers who went hungry because of El Niño.

“Huwag mo akong maliin. Maski na papano, assuming galing Davao ‘yan, bakit ka magagalit na magtanggap ‘yung mga tao ng makakain. Why?,” he further said.

Meanwhile, Inquirer reported that the city council of Davao City has recently approved the 31.5 million rice aid to the farmers of North Cotabato. The funds will be used to to buy 15,000 sacks of rice which the farmers have been demanding for months already.
